Home made parmesan white cheese sauce.

This is going to be kind of an Italian tasting cheese sauce.  Perfect to use for a sandwich topping, Italian nachos, pasta sauce, pizza sauce and more.

  • Start by making a rue.  Weigh out 4 oz of butter and 4 oz of flour and simmer them together on low heat.
  • Add 1/2 gallon of heavy cream and stir until hot.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of coarse black pepper.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of sea salt.
  • Add 2 tablespoons of oregano
  • Add 2 tablespoons of basil
  • Add 1/4 cup of granulated garlic powder
  • Add 1/4 cup of granulated onion powder
  • Add 1 1/2 pounds of grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Stir until hot and smooth.  Sometimes you may need to add a cup or so to get thin it out and get the right consistency.
  • Put in crock pot on warm and simmer until it is time to use it.  Enjoy!
