Home made Jack Daniels BBQ sauce recipe.

There is nothing better than serving a secret BBQ sauce.  Your guests and family will be raving up and down about it.  Here is the good news, this is gonna be a big batch so you can give it to your friends and family for birthday presents or Christmas gifts.  Just bottle it or can it when you are done.  I think we might need to do an article on how to can properly.  Well for now you can look it up.

This whiskey or bourbon BBQ sauce is perfect for ribs, chicken, pulled pork, beef brisket, burgers, wings, steaks or any other meat really.  We have even used it on top of rice bowls.  You’ll be surprised how it can turn into a Chinese style BBQ sauce just by using it that way.

Get creative.  I’m sure you will find uses for this sauce that I haven’t even thought of yet.  If you want to make a smaller batch, just reduce the ingredients.  I always cook to taste, so make your adjustments.

  • 1 can of hunts ketchup. (seven pounds)
  • 5 pounds of honey.
  • 1/4 cup worcester shire sauce.
  • 1 cup of molasses.
  • 2 table spoons of sea salt.
  • 1/4 cup granulated onion powder.
  • 1/4 cup granulated garlic powder.
  • Pint of Jack Daniels whiskey.
  • 24 cups of brown sugar.

Simmer on low heat, stirring frequently.  All of the sugars should be dissolved and the sauce should be smooth when it is done.
